The modern digital fluorograph is installed in the municipal clinic "City Polyclinic №2", intended for conducting mass prophylactic X-ray examinations of the population in order to timely detect tuberculosis, oncological and other pulmonary diseases with low radiation load.
This equipment worth about 4 million rubles was purchased from the regional budget. As experts note in comparison with the film fluorograph, which was used to conduct a survey of residents before, this device allows you to reduce the radiation load per person up to 10 times, the quality of the images is significantly improved, which allows doctors to examine not only the respiratory system, but also muscular and bone tissue. A wide range of vertical movement of the receiver and the radiator, as well as a bezkabinny tripod allow you to conduct patient studies in the sitting and standing position, which is a great advantage for the survey of low-mobility citizens.
"The device will also allow the institution to save up to half a million rubles a year due to the lack of costs for the purchase of film and reagents," explained Alexander Ahramovich, head physician at the City Polyclinic No.2.
As the chief doctor of the Central Administrative District Vyacheslav Yegorenko said: "To date, seven of the eight polyclinics of the district are equipped with modern fluorography equipment. Work in this direction continues. Our task, the more patients are identified - the better. The diagnostic quality of these images will be better. And the pathology that could be viewed with a film apparatus, 100% will be detected here. "
