Head of intensive care unit of intensive care hospital number 1 Andrei Glushchenko awarded the title of "Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation"

For his services in the field of healthcare and long-term conscientious work, the head of the intensive care unit of the City Clinical Hospital of Emergency Medical Service No. 1, Andrey Glushchenko, was awarded the honorary title "Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation". The corresponding decree of November 21, 205 No. 566 was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

 

Andrei Glushchenko has a total medical experience of 26 years, 22 of which, works in the collective of the hospital of first aid №1. Has the highest qualification category in the specialty "Anesthesiology - resuscitation", candidate of medical sciences.

 

Since 2000 he is the head of the intensive care unit of intensive care hospital No. 1. This is the only department among the state institutions of the region that provides assistance to patients with acute renal failure and patients with purulent-septic complications of the prenatal and postnatal period. Every year more than 2000 patients receive treatment here. During his management of the department, mortality in patients in this group decreased, and from 2011 no fatal cases were reported. The doctor conducted several thousand consultations and more than 200 visits to other medical institutions to participate in the treatment of patients.

 

During his time, Andrei Glushchenko introduced the methods of treating patients with severe thermal trauma. He developed methodological recommendations for the diagnosis and treatment of burn injuries, and are currently used in medical institutions in the city of Omsk. In 2008, his rationalization proposal "The method for diagnosis of sepsis in patients with destructive pyelonephritis with procalcitonin" was used in practice, which allowed to shorten the period of preoperative treatment from 12 to 1 day and to operate this group of patients in a timely manner. In March 2009, he developed methodical recommendations "The method for the prevention of pancreatic necrosis in acute pancreatitis," which were included in the curricula of teaching medical institutions in the Russian Federation and used in practice in Omsk healthcare facilities. He has 18 published works published in regional and federal publications. He is a member of the All-Russian Society of Anaesthesiologists - resuscitators. In November 2010 he was appointed chief freelance anesthesiologist-resuscitator of the city of Omsk. Since August 2013 - the chief freelance specialist in anesthesiology and resuscitation in the field of obstetrics and gynecology in the Omsk region.
